February 1st   Detroit Beer Tours – Grand Trunk Pub located at 612 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48226. An awesome leisurely 3km Detroit beer tour is a great way for beer and food fans to spend an afternoon or evening. February 2nd  Team USA vs. Lincoln StarsUSA Hockey Arena located at 14900 N Beck Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170. Come watch USA Hockey’s National Under-17 Team take on the Lincoln Stars on Feb. 2 at 7:05 PM in Plymouth. Friday, Feb 2, 7:00 pm, Admission between $10 to $12.

February 3rd  Oakland Walk for Warmth 2018 Great Lakes Crossing Outlets located at 4000 Baldwin Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Join OLHSA for the 28th annual Oakland Walk for Warmth event, February 3, 2018. Walk for Warmth is an indoor walk-a-thon that raises funds to help our neighbors in Oakland County stay safe and warm through the winter. Saturday, Feb 3, 7:30 am

February 4th Kensington Metroparks Hayrides – Kensington Metropark located at 2240 W Buno Rd, Milford, MI. Looking for a wonderful experience? Try a horse-drawn hayride or sleigh ride through wooded trails. Saturdays and Sundays (through Feb 25th) from noon to 4 pm.

February 5th  Downtown Birmingham MI Restaurant Week 2018Downtown Birmingham. Treat yourself to delicious menu items at discounted prices during Birmingham’s popular Restaurant Week event. Enjoy three-course lunches for $15 and three-course dinners for $30! Many of Birmingham’s finest restaurants will be participating. February 5 – 9, 2018

February 6th  Daddy Daughter Dance Rochester – River Crest Banquet and Facility Center located at 900 W Avon Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48307.  Share a special evening with your daughter and make a memory to last a lifetime.  You’ll enjoy a child-friendly buffet and be able to dance the night away. There will be a DJ spinning favorite dance hits. February 6 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm; Fee: $36 per couple with $18 for each additional girl.

February 7th Detroit Kid CityLocated at 37051 S Gratiot Ave, Charter Twp of Clinton and 29115 Greenfield Rd, Southfield. Detroit Kid City is Metro-Detroit’s Most Exciting, Very Popular Family Attraction & Party Venue. They are a Mini-Detroit Themed “Play Cafe”, Where Families Come to Sip Coffee and Play. Monday-Saturday: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

February 8th Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum – Located at 31005 Orchard Lake Rd, Farmington Hills. Do you like vintage coin-operated machines? Yes. Then this is the place for you. Listed in the World Almanac’s 100 most unusual museums in the U.S. Monday – Thursday 10:00 am – 9:00 pm; Fridays and Saturdays 10:00 am – 11:00 pm; Sundays 11:00 am – 9:00 pm

February 9th Utica Ice Festival City of Utica, Michigan. 2 days with the first being Feb. 9th with live music downtown, ice carvings, and a pub crawl. On the 2nd day Feb. 10th there will be Ice Skating – Bring your skates, hot food with a Chili Cook-Off, Ice Carvings & Competition, Dog Sledding, Giant Inflatable Slides, Food Trucks, Live Music, Kids Crafts, Daddy Daughter Ice Skate 4:00 pm
Frozen Characters AAA Club House 4:00 pm, Disney’s Frozen Movie – on the JumboTron (6:00 pm), FIREWORKS!!! (Around 8:20 pm on Saturday). You REALLY should plan on attending this one! No hibernating on this weekend!

February 10th  Troy Community Center Family Night Out  – Troy Community Center located at 3179 Livernois Rd, Troy, MI. Troy Community Center Family Night Out – Enjoy swimming, basketball, parachutes, inflatables and more. $3 for residents & $4 for non-residents. Questions? Call 248-524-3484.   

February 11th Sloan Museum Sunday Tea – The historic Sloan Museum located at 1310 East Kearsley Street, Flint, MI. Plan on visiting for Sunday afternoon tea. February 12th Airtime Troy – Located at 662 East Big Beaver Road, Troy. Several other locations. See website. Get ready to have some fun! Each park has open jump areas where families can jump together along with separate mosh pits; dodgeball; a basketball “Jam Session” area; and even a special Tweeter section just for children six and under. In addition to these trampoline park staples, they are always adding new attractions leading the way with trend-setting activities. In fact, their newest parks and those opening going forward will include a Ninja Warrior course, rock climbing wall, and airbag and battle beam.

February 13th GRIP Moms Group Berkley First United Methodist Church, 2820 12 Mile Road, Berkley, MI. This mom’s group meets weekly for personal and spiritual growth, support and book discussion, starting with ‘The Five Languages of Love’ by Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell. FREE.

February 14th  Valentine’s Day – The 15 Best Romantic Places in Detroit – It may be a calendar holiday, but it also may be special to you. Take a look at these romantic places and maybe they’ll inspire you to have a wonderful experience.

February 17th  Indian Springs Metropark Snowshoe Hike – Indian Springs Metropark located at 5200 Indian Trail, White Lake.  Take a morning walk and see what birds stick out the harsh Michigan winters, and what birds may be starting to migrate back from the South. Hours 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.

February 18th  Oak Park Winterfest 2018 – Oak Park Community Center located at 14300 Oak Park Blvd, Oak Park. Enjoy indoor activities & outdoor fun for kids at the Oak Park Community Center. Sleigh rides, hay rides, a bonfire, face painting and more! Hours: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

February 19th  The New Rink Winter Break Open Roller Skating – The New Rink, 50625 Van Dyke Avenue, Shelby Twp. The New Rink Winter Break Open Roller Skating – Visit The New Rink skating center during the winter break to enjoy some open skate times. All week, at daytime skates from 1-4pm and Evening Open Skates from 6-8pm. February 20th  Troy Historic Village Mid-Winter Break Open House – Troy Historical Village located at 60 W. February 24th  Fire & Ice with Spice 2018 – Downtown Clawson located at North Main Street & 14 Mile Road, Clawson. Fire and Ice with Spice 2018 in Downtown Clawson is a fun event that features fire breathers and jugglers, in addition to ice carvers creating custom designs and a Kids Craft Tent! Hours: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

February 25th Detroit Boat Show – Cobo Center located at 1 Washington Blvd., Detroit. The last day of the Detroit Boat Show is today! Don’t miss it as they are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year. Hours: 11 am – 6:00 pm

February 26th Michigan Ski ResortsMultiple locations. No need to hibernate. Find those skis or plan on renting. When in Michigan do as Michiganders do. 🙂

February 27th Michigan Indoor Ice Skating ArenasMultiple locations. If it is too cold to outside then don’t let that stop you. There are plenty of indoor arenas to take advantage of.

February 28th Rochester PlayRochester Play located at 380 E. Second St., Rochester. I bet the kids could use some jumping up and down and not on your sofa. Head out to Rochester Play as they put the fun back into daily life for families.
