NO HAZ program in Oakland County

NO HAZ program in Oakland County

Earth Day is approaching and it is going to be here sooner than you think. Actually, it is only a few days away, April 22nd to be precise. That made me think about our community and the importance of keeping our surroundings clean. How might you be able to contribute? Glad you asked! 😉

I also was remembering past clients who have called for pre-listing appointments and one of the first jobs EVERYONE has to do in order to prepare their homes to list is to perform a thorough cleaning out. When they take this task on they come across all sorts of items that can’t simply be thrown away, but must be disposed of in a precise manner. We are lucky that Earth Day, spring cleaning, homes coming on the market and so on, coincide with the NO HAZ program in Oakland County.

You are probably asking yourself what exactly is the NO HAZ program? The NO HAZ program provides Oakland County residents with a safe, reliable and environmentally-responsible way to dispose of household hazardous waste. There are fees involved for some community residents while other communities provide this service for free. You will need to refer to the program map to see what your community offers.

Here’s a list of the community dates provided by OakGov.com’s website.
