Summer has definitely arrived and to some that means smores over a fire, jumping into a body of refreshing water, chasing fireflies, and most of all MAKING MEMORIES. On that note, here are the top 5 campgrounds in Michigan. Go out and have an adventure this Summer!
Tahquamenon Falls State Park – Make a reservation in the Tahquamenon Falls-Lodge for a night or do the camping thing! At this State Park, you have a choice AND you will have plenty to explore with 50,000 acres stretching over 13 miles!

South Higgins Lake State Park – This particular park is known as the 2nd largest campground in a State Park containing 400 modern campsites which are situated in a hardwood-shaded area. You’ll find Higgins Lake which is a beautiful spring-fed body of water known for its clarity and fishing potential.

Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park – Michigan’s LARGEST State Park with roughly 60,000 acres to explore! Good luck!! No boredom found here with Lake of the Clouds, the Summit Peak observation tower and the scenic Presque Isle River corridor. Other attractions include an 18-hole disc golf course, the Porcupine Mountains Ski Area and more.

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore – Instagramable moments includes the wondrous design of nature with sand and rock beaches, cliffs, coves, sand dunes, and rivers. You will be able to explore 100 miles of hiking & walking trails.

Wilderness State Park – Another park that offers those who prefer not to sleep in a tent with options. There are bunkhouses and cabins in this State Park. There is also 10,000 acres including 26 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline to explore. This is another great MICHIGAN park!!
