Upcoming Things To Do In The Birmingham Area

There are many upcoming things to do in the Birmingham Area and I’d like to share a few of those with you. The City of Birmingham is an affluent and upbeat area. People love the walkability factor the area offers and that includes the many coffee shops, boutiques, pubs and bars with live music and great restaurants! Let’s take a look at the specific events in the area you may wish to check out.

Upcoming Things To Do In The Birmingham Area –

Day on the Town – This is the biggest shopping day of the year and it is fast approaching. Known as Day on the Town, this event brings out the locals and the out-of-towners looking for a special shopping deal. It really is a fun shopping event not to be missed. It is Saturday, July 22nd from 9 am to 7 pm. Will I see you there?

Birmingham Movie Night – Grab the kiddos, a blanket, and some popcorn and head out to the Birmingham Shopping District. Check out their Facebook page before going for weather announcements. The next movie is scheduled for August 11th. There is pre-show entertainment beginning at 7:30 pm.

Corn Festival – This takes place at the Birmingham Farmer’s Market.  There will be games, special kids crafts, demonstrations and old-fashioned corn shelling. Also, a variety of farm animals for the kids to experience. Definitely fun for the whole family! This takes place on Sunday, August 13th, from 9 am to 2 pm at the Municipal Parking Lot 6 – Birmingham Shopping District.

Birmingham Cruise Event – Woodward Dream Cruise – On Saturday, August 19th from 9 am to 4 pm you’ll want to get your camera/phone ready to photograph one of the world’s largest one-day automotive event, the Woodward Dream Cruise. OVER 40,000 classic cars roll into the area. The Birmingham Cruise Event is located on South Old Woodward from Merrill to Lincoln. It features 300 classic cars of all makes and models, live entertainment, live broadcasts and more.
Harvest Festival – This takes place at the Birmingham Farmer’s Market on September 17th from 9 am to 2 pm. Enjoy the local harvest on this day and make sure to bring the kids. There will be corn shelling, kids crafts, farm animals and live entertainment. Another fun filled day!
