The second weekend of November has arrived and on that note, let’s take a look at some Oakland County Weekend Events for Nov 9 – 11th.
Friday, November 9th –
Fall Campfire / Night Hike at Bloomer Park, 345 John R Road, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 from 6:30 pm to 8 pm – Join the campfire where there will be s’mores, games, nature talks, and/or guided night hikes. You must register.
Owl Prowl at Stony Creek Metropark, 4300 Main Park Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48316 starting at 6 pm – First you’ll hear an introduction to owls and then take a walk. Be very quiet so you don’t scare them away and you might see other wildlife as well. You must register.
Saturday, November 10th –
Christmas in Clawson Craft Show at Clawson High School, 101 John M Clawson, MI 48017 from 9 am to 4 pm – Start that Christmas shopping now before sitting down to the Thanksgiving turkey. Imagine the stress-free December you’ll enjoy if you get that personal shopping done in November. 🙂 Website
Oakland County Mom2Mom Sales at various locations. Stock up on those children clothes or make some money yourself by selling some of your own children’s clothes. Website
Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops at various locations. Free fun holiday games, crafts and activities happening each day through to Christmas. Website
Sunday, November 11th (Veteran’s Day Related)-
FREE Admission Day At Oakland County Parks – various locations. Fresh air and fun with the family. What better way to enjoy your Sunday!! Oakland County Parks and Recreation offers free park entry to all guests in honor of Veterans Day. Website
Veterans Day Ceremonies – “On Veterans Day, we honor ALL American veterans, both living and dead. In fact, Veterans Day is largely intended to thank LIVING veterans for dedicated and loyal service to their country. November 11 of each year is the day that we ensure veterans know that we deeply appreciate the sacrifices they have made in the lives to keep our country free.” ~ US Military.
